XMathBox
The XMathBox allows the user to use a customized version of Xubuntu Linux that runs as a guest virtual machine using VirtualBox. The actual host operating system can be any that is supported by VirtualBox -- Linux, OS/X or Microsoft Windows. This math tool box features a set of software tools and utilities useful for learning mathematics or solving problems: - Euler Math Toolbox - Geogebra - wxMaxima - qtOctave - Qalculate - Gcalctool - GNU Units - Python and IPython - Spyder Python IDE - NumPy and Scipy - GNU TeXmacs. See the folder for these specific tools and utilities for more information. The XMathBox project is not associated with Xubuntu Linux. This name merely acknowledges the fact that Xubuntu Linux is the operating system used as a virtual machine.
